Ayue watch in awe as the tennis ball rolled off Seiichi’s racket like rain off a windshield. He was perfection. Just watching his smooth, tireless movements made her dizzy. He made her feel so alive from even a distance. He was her sun, her sky, her moon, her night, her Oxygen.
After scoring yet another point on his opponent, Akaya, he flashed a smile over at her. Seiichi won the game easily, every move he had made captured Ayue’s mind and heart further. After the game he approached her, “Hello, Ayue-chan. You’re out of tennis early I see?” he asked with a motion to her tennis bag.
“That’s right. Buchou was sick and Vice-captain sempai couldn’t keep up with the freshmen so we were dismissed early.” Ayue felt blood rising on her cheeks when Seiichi grabbed the bottom of his shirt and lifted it to wipe away sweat from his brow. She did her best to fight the rising color.
“I see. And you’re here…”
“To watch the boys play. And, hopefully, get a game or two in against you.” she quirked a hopeful eyebrow at him and Seiichi smirked.
“I’m not sure if you want to do that.”
“Hmm? Why?”
Seiichi leaned in, his fingers lacing between the chain mesh of the fence that separated them, his eyes narrowed and powerful, and smirked seductively. “You’d never win.”
Ayue got dizzy from just his voice. Like she was inhaling pure Oxygen.
“Wanna bet?” she smirked back, noting how dizzy he seemed to get at the sound of her equally powerful voice.
